The Field-Level Observation & Mapping Project (F.L.O.M.P.) is a federal initiative responsible for surveying and documenting federal land, unregistered structures, and geographic anomalies for national security and urban planning. The program was founded in 1991 after the Soviet Union’s collapse, as part of a push to reassess U.S. infrastructure security.
